What We Do
Bridgescape is a research and innovation initiative that builds bridges between fragmented care systems and integrated, holistic care. We conduct evidence‑based research, design pilot projects, and forge cross‑border partnerships that connect local strengths with global knowledge — while sharing what we learn openly to inform advocacy, public education, and policy dialogue for the interconnected well‑being of people, animals, and the planet.
Our Current Focus
Evidence‑Based Research
Mapping real‑world workflows to identify where collaboration breaks down in complex healthcare cases.
Ethical Leadership
Cultivating the capacity for responsible innovation among healthcare professionals and policymakers.
Collaborative Ecosystems
Connecting researchers, providers, and communities to co‑create solutions and translate evidence into advocacy for systemic change.
These focus areas form the foundation for the future S2ERA Foundation . From this foundation, advocacy will grow — translating research into public education, ethical leadership, and policy dialogue.
Why Partner With Bridgescape?
Voices from the Community – What We Are Learning (Preliminary)
Our evidence base is built in two stages. The insights below come from our first‑phase physician interviews and from the gaps identified in the May 2024 4P‑CAN Podgorica workshop — gaps that our own recent interviews confirm persist today. Patient interviews are currently being designed and will undergo ethics review before recruitment begins. Their voices will join this page once approved.
“I spend more time on paperwork than with my patients. We need a simple way to get a second opinion from a specialist – without endless phone calls.”
– GP, 15 years experience
“When I can't determine a diagnosis, I want to be able to collaborate — across sectors, across borders. No border should stop one's life.”
– Doctor working in both the private and public sectors
“We had a burnout seminar recently. Whatever the focus, it didn’t help us in practice — and no one asked how we are coping.”
– Public sector doctor
“I would love to consult a nutritionist and a psychologist for my patients with complex conditions. But I have no secure, easy way to do it.”
– Private clinic co‑founder
“We are currently preparing to interview people with experience of complex care. Your story—whether of struggle, resilience, or recovery—can help build a better system. Share your story as a patient →
Our Planned Pilots
Based on our preliminary physician interviews and the gaps identified in the May 2024 4P‑CAN Podgorica workshop — gaps our own recent data confirm persist — we are designing two interconnected pilots, phased to ensure focus and feasibility. Ethical leadership and personal development run through both, because the inner work of the practitioner is inseparable from the quality of care.
Integrated Complex Care
(current phase: research and partner recruitment)
The bridge — the structured, secure connection between local clinics and global specialists.
Identify complex cases where diagnostic clarity, a second opinion, or holistic input – from nutrition and movement to mental resilience, and the role of environment and animal companions – could make a critical difference.
Connect local clinics with a secure, low‑burden digital tool to external specialists — national and European — for the specific need identified.
Co‑manage patients through structured, privacy‑respecting collaboration, saving clinicians time and improving outcomes.
From the very first case, an optional “Environmental & Living Conditions” checklist will enrich the holistic care plan with data on housing, green space, air quality, and animal contact — because integrated care means caring for the whole web of life.
A lightweight, voluntary “Clinician Reflection” space invites each clinician to notice their own state after each complex case — a small act of personal development at the point of care.
The platform itself models ethical leadership: citizen‑controlled data, transparency, and respect for clinician autonomy are design principles, not afterthoughts.
Interconnected Well‑being for All Life
(early design phase)
The scape — the inner landscape of the person, and the outer landscape of relationships, nature, and meaning.
A future pilot combining insights from neuroscience, psychology, and personal development into a digital health model explicitly dedicated to the interconnected well‑being of people, animals, and the planet. It will offer a dyadic, consent‑based companion for both patients and clinicians, a Nature & Resilience module, and reflective practices that link personal fragmentation to planetary disconnection — and personal healing to restored care for all living beings. Its design will be shaped by the patient and doctor research we are now conducting.
The pilots are being co‑designed with private clinics that have the flexibility to innovate quickly. Once the model is validated, we will partner with public healthcare institutions to extend its benefits to a broader population.
Both pilots are in active development. We welcome forward‑thinking clinics, European specialists, digital health innovators, and research collaborators to co‑create them with us.
Join Our Research & Advocacy Community
We are building a multidisciplinary team to carry forward the Bridgescape research and its future pilots. We warmly welcome conversations with:
Research Mentors & Co‑Investigators
Senior researchers and clinicians who can guide our early qualitative research, co‑design studies, and mentor early‑career team members. We are seeking experienced researchers and clinicians in One Health, animal welfare, ecology, digital health ethics, ethical research, neuroscience, psychology, psychiatry, nutrition science, and personal development science.
Phase 2 Researchers
Students, early‑career, and career‑changers from psychology, sociology, ethics, philosophy, or related fields. Gain qualitative research experience with co‑authorship and mentorship.
Advocacy Mentor & Advocates
Help translate research into public education on personal development, ethical leadership, and interconnected well‑being. Early interest welcome.
No immediate funding is available; we offer meaningful co‑design, co‑authorship, and a first‑right path to funded roles as grants are secured.
